Kristinn Palsson ends his freshman season in the NCAA: Marist Red Foxes of Stellazzurra Academy's player eliminated by Manhattan in MAAC Championships first round

 Kristinn Pálsson, Icelandic freshman of the Marist Red Foxes, ended his first NCAA season last night when his team failed to qualify for the second round of the MAAC Chiampionships playoffs. Yesterday, at Times Union Centre in Albany, NY, Palsson’s side, 11th seed, was beaten 81-63 by 6th seed Manhattan Jaspers, who went on to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament against 2th seed Xavier.

 

Palsson, 1997-born guard/small forward came through Stellazzurra Academy, ended his first year of college basketball in the USA with 7 points+6 rebounds+3 assists in 33 minutes, shooting 2/2 2-pt FG and 1/3 3-pt FG in his final game.

 

The Marist Red Foxes finished the season with 7 wins and 23 losses, in which Palsson averaged 8.7 points in 32.8 minutes, shooting 37.8% overall from the field, 35.4% from the 3-point line with 67 triples scored, as well as 4.4 rebounds in 29 games, 28 of which in the starting line-up.
