While the U15M team is busy competing in Piedmont, Italy, to defend its double title in the 2016 Novipiù Cup, the U19M Stellazzurra Basketball Academy team will be competing in the 2016 Mondial Basketball, taking place in Cholet, France. The 35th edition of this tournament is scheduled for Friday 25 March until Easter Monday, and it includes 12 teams.

The defending champions will be in the same group as Stellazzurra along with the French team Chorale Roanne Basket. Both games will be played on Friday, at 6pm against Prague and 08:55pm against Roanne, with four quarters each 8 minutes.

The first two teams from each group will advance to the quarterfinals (four quarters each 10 minutes), programmed for the next day. While the semi-finals will take place on Easter Sunday and the finals will be played on Easter Monday.
