Like every year, the real christmas of the lovers of basketball takes three days, from December 27 to 29 , and it occurs with the advent of the prestigious Under-18 competition: the Nike International Junior Tournament City of Rome branded of course by the Euroleague . On the floor of the Arena Altero Felici the teams that will compete are: Stellazzurra Basketball Academy , Bayern Monaco , Cibona Zagreb, Virtus Roma , Cajasol Seville, Spars Sarajevo, Virtus Siena and Milan Armani Junior that will try and win a pass to the Final 8, which will be held in Milan during the Final 4 senior .

The real star of the event will be , as always, the talent and this year in particular the young prospects will be numerous.

In Group A Bayern Monaco will present the crown jewel of its roster Richard Freudenberg (PF , 202 cm , 1998) , the guard of the German U18 National Sebastian Schmitt (G, 181 cm , 1996) and four centers above 205 cm, among them Daniel Woltering ( C , 210 cm , 1996) . The Stellazzurra Basketball Academy will bank hard on their Italian trio composed by Frederick Mussini (G, 180 cm, 1996) best point guard two years ago at the European U16 , Andrea La Torre (G, 202 cm , 1997) and David Moretti (G, 190 cm , 1998) all of whom played this summer with the Italian national team U16 . Virtus Siena will be led by the Italian  star Pierfrancesco Oliva ( SG , 202 cm , 1996) that already showed all his talent under the basket in the last edition, while it's up to Thomas Guariglia (C, 205 cm , 1997) and Fabio Cuccarese (PF , 197 cm , 1996) to make a difference. The Spars Sarajevo, last year's winner , will rely on its Center-Point Guard axis formed by Amar Gegic (G, 196 cm , 1998), starring this summer with the U16 Bosnian national team at the Division B European Championships and the center Alija Piric (C, 210 cm , 1997) and supported by the energy from the points of Atif Durak (G, 188 cm , 1997)

In Group B Cibona Zagreb has a top-level roster with the star of the National U18 Croatian team Marko Arapovic (PF , 207 cm , 1996) and the two wings Nik Croatian Slavica (PF , 201 cm , 1997) and Ivica Zubac (PF / C , 212 cm , 1997) that did many positive things during this summer at the European U16 Championship. Virtus Roma instead will focus on the very talented David Alviti (PF , 197 cm , 1996) and the rebounding of Daniel Ciambrone (C, 200 cm , 1996) and Matthew Found (C, 202 cm , 1996). The Cajasol Seville will focus a lot on her inside players , especially on the German Malik Eichler (C, 209 cm , 1997) and the Belarusian Maxim Salash (C, 206 cm , 1996), while on the outside who stands out the most is Diego Gallardo (G, 192 cm , 1996). The Armani Junior Milano has in his roster Lorenzo Restelli (G, 194 cm , 1996) , the Bosnian center Adem Catakovic (C, 204 cm , 1996) and the wing Andrea Spera (PF , 203 cm , 1996).
